What is Constipation?

A person affliction constipation has infrequent bowel movements, the stools are hard and this is case irritable bowel syndrome. Frequency of bowel movements varies, but regularity is important. For good health, every body should have bowel movements daily at least once a day, and maximum of thrice a day. Infrequent bowel movement gives rise to a number of health problems. Even that many people have a bowel movement only every few days or at once a week, however, this is not a healthy practice.
Decaying fecal material and toxins in your intestines can contribute to many other diseases like to cause colon or colorectal cancer. Constipation also disallow the flow and absorption of vital nutrients in the body and thereby may affect one's overall health. Prolonged bouts with constipation can lead to other health problems, such as hemorrhoids, varicose veins, bad breath, body odor, indigestion and headaches.
As mentioned above, the waste matter in the colon may contain toxins. Other intestinal problems caused by constipation are diverticulosis pouches in the intestinal walls that catch waste material and hold it while it putrefies and diverticulitis, the swelling and inflammation of these pouches. Take this simple test to see if you have a bowel problem:
1. If your stools float, it have enough fiber
2. If it sink, you don't have.
So prevention is better than cure. We firmly believe the old adage "death begins in the colon". You should refer to prevent constipation before using fruit drinks and other foods low in fiber found in nature. You must protect your health while you are still healthy.
